Keeping a copy of your cats

Everything is stored on your phone. To keep a copy, tap More on the Home screen and choose Export dex. Keep the file somewhere safe, for example in iCloud Drive. To bring the cats back, choose Import dex and pick the same file.

Microchip readers

An iPhone cannot read a pet microchip by itself. Purrdex works with a Bluetooth handheld reader that acts as a keyboard. You never need one: a chip number can also be typed in by hand.

Privacy

Purrdex does not collect any data. See the privacy policy.
